Crumb Fried Chicken With Potato And Green Peas Stir Fry

Crumb fried chicken with potato and green peas stir fry. The chicken breast is pounded flat or thin slices cut through the chicken breast which is then seasoned and costed with breadcrumbs, fried until crispy and golden brown.


500 gram chicken boneless breast steak pieces

For the Marination

100 grams of spring onion

5 green chillies

1 inch cinnamon stick

6 cloves

1 teaspoon of pepper corn

2 tablespoons of oyster sauce

1 teaspoon of dry mixed herbs

1 teaspoon of coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder

1 teaspoon of English mustard

1/4 cup whisky

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste

Grind all the above well to a paste without adding any water.

Add this ground paste and whisky to the chicken steaks and leave to marinate for a few hours.


Whisk two eggs with a little bit of salt well and keep aside. Coat the chicken steak pieces with egg mixture and then coat with panko breadcrumbs.

Shallow fry till done.

For the potato and pea stir fry

1/2 kilo potatoes, peel off the skin wash and chop into cubes. Boil the potatoes till nearly done.

100 grams of green peas

3 onions sliced

2 green chillies finely chopped

1 teaspoon of mixed dry herbs

1 teaspoon of dry cheese garlic mix

Or just use 4 cloves of garlic finely chopped.Sprinkle in some grated cheese just before serving .

1/2 cup finely chopped greens of the spring onion

Salt and pepper to taste.

1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder


Step 1

Heat up some oil in a vessel. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn translucent. Add the green peas and stir fry. Allow to cook, stir frying occasionally.

Step 2

Add the potatoes and mix well. Add in the dry herb mix, dry cheese garlic mix green chillies, salt, pepper and turmeric powder.

Step 3

When potatoes and peas are done , add the finely chopped greens of the spring onion.
