Chicken Curry

Green Masala Chicken Curry With Homemade Curry Powder.

A delightful combination of  green masala and aromatic homemade curry powder contributes to the creation of this delectable green masala chicken curry


500 grams of chicken pieces

Clean and wash well. Marinate the chicken pieces With 1 / 2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder.

Ingredients for the masala

100 grams of coriander leaves

Few mint leaves

3 green chillies

1 onion sliced

2 teaspoons of ginger garlic paste

Grind to paste the above mentioned ingredients with just enough water.


1 and 1/2 teaspoon of homemade curry powder

2 onions finely chopped

2 tomatoes finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder

Salt to taste

3 medium size potatoes chopped


Step 1

Heat  oil in a pot , sauté the Onions until they turn lightly brown. Next , add the tomatoes and cook on medium flame, occasionally stirring until they soften.

Step 2

Stir in the ground green paste and continue to fry on medium flame. Add in 1/2 cup water and cook on medium flame for a minute.

Step 3

Next , add the chicken pieces, potatoes and mix thoroughly. Add just enough water and allow to cook till almost done.

Step 4

Add in salt to taste and cook till done. Finally, add  1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar or any other vinegar.
