Baked Mutton Chops

Mutton chops marinated in spices and yoghurt and then baked .


1 kilo mutton chops

Wash well .add turmeric , salt and gram flour to the chops and keep aside for 15 to 20 mins.

Wash well and pat dry.

For the marinade

10 chilies

1 tsp pepper corns

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tbsp coriander seeds

1/2tsp turmeric powder

Black cardamom

1 javitri {mace flower}

8 cloves

2 inch cinnamon

1 bay leaf

1 tsp fennel seeds {saunf}

1/4 tsp methi seeds { fennel seeds}

2 tbs Kasuri methi {dry fenugreek leaves}

20 Cashew nuts

2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 small bunch coriander leaves

Handful mint leaves

Grind all the above to a paste with little amount of water.


Mix the ground paste with 1/2 cup Cream and 2 cups Yoghurt . Marinate the chops with the above paste.

Place in a baking dish. Cover with foil .

Bake In a preheated over at 200 degrees Celsius till done . Approximately 1 hour.

For the baby potatoes

Boil the potatoes till done. Poke the potatoes all round. With a fork.

To the pan add butter and some finely chopped garlic , ground pepper. Stir fry the potatoes I in this for a minute.
