This light and flavourful poha mix is perfect as a snack or a tea time treat. The combination of roasted poha ,crunchy roasted chana dal ,nuts and raisins, along with the aromatic blend of spices, make it irrresistible . Here's a simple and quick recipe to prepare this delicious snack at home.
Ingredients:
200 grams thin poha {flattened rice}
1/3 cup roasted channa {split roasted gram}
1/3 cup raisins
1/2 cup cashew nuts
rock salt ,to taste
2 spicy green chillies ,chopped
12 curry leaves
spice powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
Method :
Roast the Poha:In a pan , dry roast the poha until it becomes crispy . Set it aside.
Fry the cashew nuts and raisins : In the same pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil . Lightly fry the cashew nuts until golden, then add the raisins. Remove and set aside.
temper the spices: In the same oil ,stir fry the chopped green chillies and curry leaves until they turn crisp. You'll hear a sizzling sound as they fry.
Mix the spices and ingredients: Add the coriander powder, cumin powder , turmeric powder and rock salt to the pan . Stir well. Then, mix in the roasted channa , fried cashew nuts and raisins.
Combine with poha: Finally, add the roasted poha to the pan and toss everything together gently on low flame , ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
