Creamy Chicken Gravy

This chicken gravy is a rich creamy gravy , very much similar to the famous chicken korma. Here is a lighter version of chicken korma . A rich creamy gravy that goes well with some Naan bread or Pulao.
Ingredients
800 gms chicken thighs
Method
Marinate the chicken thighs giving three slits
1 tbsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp garam masala powder
Marinate for an hour.
Method
Add 2 tbsp ghee / clarified butter
Shallow fry the chicken thigh pieces well till done. Keep aside.
Ingredients
Ground Masala
20 cashew nuts ( soak cashew nuts for 2 hrs in hot water)
2 onions sliced
4 green chillies finely chopped
1 tbsp kasuri methi / dried fenugreek leaves
1 tsp poppy seeds
1 cup ( 200ml cup) desiccated coconut
Method
Saute the sliced onion till brown.
Add the finely chopped green chillies, kasuri methi,stir fry.
Remove the cashew nuts from the water and add it to the sauteed onion mixture.
Stir fry and allow to cool.
Dry roast the desiccated coconut and poppy seeds.
Grind to paste with just enough water .
Ingredients
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup water
Salt to taste
1 tbsp dried Fenugreek leaves, powder it
1/4 cup coriander leaves finely chopped
Method
Add 2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter. Cook the ground paste with 1 cup water for a minute.
Then add 1 tsp chilli powder or acording to taste , finely chopped coriander leaves, salt to taste.
Cook for a minute. Then add the fried chicken thigh pieces. Cook for 10 minutes.
Lastly add 1 tbsp powdered dried Fenugreek leaves/ powdered dried kasuri methi .
