Chicken Masala

A very easy to prepare chicken masala gravy with basic spices easily available and the outcome , great tast and flavour.

Chicken Masala best served with Chapatis


Ingredients 1

500 gms chicken pieces


Marination

1/4 tsp pepper powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp Ginger garlic paste


Method

Marinate the chicken pieces with the above mentioned ingredients for the marination (ingredients 1)

Keep for half hour


Ingredients 2

2 kashmiri chillies

1 tsp coriander seeds

1 tsp pepper corn

1/2 tsp fennel seeds

2 tsp kasuri methi (dried Fenugreek leaves)

1/4 tsp methi (Fenugreek seeds)

1 tsp Rice

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp ginger garlic paste


grind all the above ingredients with some amount of water.


Ingredients 3

4 tbsp ghee

2 onions finely chopped

3 big tomatoes , remove skin and puree

1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves

3 or 4 green chillies finely chopped


Method


Heat up the ghee, add the finely chopped onions and stir fry till lightly brown.

Add the finely chopped green chillies and stir fry.

Mix in the ground masala and stir fry the masala on low flame.

Add next the tomato puree and 1/2 cup water

Cook for a minute on medium flame.

After minute and occasionally stirring add the marinated chicken pieces and mix well.

Add in 200 ml of water . Cook on medium flame till chicken is almost done.

Add salt to taste and cook till chicken is done.

Lastly add the vinegar and finely chopped coriander leaves.

Cook for another 5 minutes.
