Chicken Curry With Green Masala

A very basic green masala for the chicken curry and a pea pulao


100 gms coriander leaves

5 green chillies

1 tbsp coriander seeds

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp pepper corns

1 onion sliced

1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste

grind to a paste with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and some amount of water.

Ingredients 2

800 gms chicken pieces

marinate with 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp pepper powder ,1/4 tsp cumin powder and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder. salt to taste.


3 Onions finely chopped

4 tomatoes finely chopped

2 potatoes chopped


Heat up some oil . Stir fry the finely chopped onions till lightly browned

Add the Finely chopped tomatoes and cook till soft. ( adding a bit of salt and 1/4 cup of water helps the tomatoes to soften and cook)

Once the tomatoes are soft and done add the ground green masala and cook for a minute.

Add the chicken pieces and mix well.

Add just enough water and chopped potatoes.

cook till done.

Adjust the seasoning .
