Mutton Lonvas

Mutton curry with a mix of Vegetables like Turnip, Radish , Carrot and Potato or you can just add only Bottle Gourd and Potatoes.





Ingredients

500 gms Mutton

Clean and wash the mutton pieces well.

Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp Gram flour and 1 tsp vinegar.

Mix it well with the mutton and keep for 20 mins.

Then wash it off all well and pat dry



For the marination of the mutton take


1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

Salt to taste.


Keep for half hour.



Ingredients 2

2 medium size onions finely chopped

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 tomato finely chopped

3 green chilies finely chopped

200 ml thick coconut milk



Spices

3 tsp East Indian Bottle Masala

1/4 tsp Turmeric powder.



For the vegetable

1 big radish with its leaves

Chop the radish and finely chop the leaves , keep aside separately.


1 big red carrot chopped

2 small size turnips with leaves ( they are the size of a tomato)

Chop the turnips and finely chop the leaves , keep aside separately.

1 potato chopped



Method


In a pressure cooker add the oil, once hot add the finely chopped onions and stir fry till lightly brown. Then add the tomatoes, green chilies and cook till tomatoes turn soft .

Now add the ginger garlic paste, bottle masala, and the turmeric powder. Add in 1/2 cup water and cook for a minute on medium flame.

Now add the mutton , salt to taste and just enough water and pressure cook on high for first whistle then low for 10 mins.

Next after this add the chopped veggies and pressure cook on high for 2 whistles. Once the steam is released add the chopped leaves and coconut milk


Cook for 5 mins.
