Methi bhaji/ Fresh Fenugreek leaves vegetable

Simple yet satisfying , methi bhaji is so delicious and nutritious , a great choice for a wholesome meal.


300 grams of fresh Fenugreek leaves (used 5 bunches of Fenugreek leaves)

250 grams of sliced onions  ( 4 onions )

8 to 10 cloves of garlic mashed

1/4 teaspoon of pepper powder

1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder

4 green chillies finely chopped

1/4 cup fresh grated coconut

1/4 cup dry kasuri methi( dry Fenugreek leaves), ground to a powder


Step 1

Heat up a pan with some oil, sauté the mashed garlic cloves lightly. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn translucent. Add the finely chopped green chillies and stir fry.

Step 2

Add the pepper powder, turmeric powder and  salt to taste. Add the powdered dry Fenugreek leaves and stir fry.

Step 3

Add the fresh Fenugreek leaves and mix well. Allow to cook till done to your liking. Finally, add the 1/4 cup grated coconut.
