Butter Cookies

These cookies are made using flour, butter, egg , and sugar . Along with flour , have added ground almonds and dry cranberries. Dry cranberries can be replaced with tutti frutti or raisins.


60 gms butter (soft butter)

100 gms plain flour

25 gms almonds grind to powder

1 egg

1/2 tsp Baking powder

1 tsp Vanilla essence

80 gms Caster sugar

80 gms dry Cranberries chop into 2 pieces


Cream butter and sugar by using a hand whisk or electric hand mixer.

Add the egg and whisk again. Mix in the vanilla essence. Sift the baking powder , plain flour and ground almonds. Add this sifted mixture to the egg mixture.

Fold in the cranberries. Mix well. Brush a baking tray with oil. Form into balls. Press down with a fork.

Refrigerate for half hour. Preheat oven to 180 degrees .

Bake for 15 to 20 mins or till underside is brown.

You can use raisins instead if dried cranberries or Tutti frutti.
