A blend of mayonnaise , pickled chillies , pickles , chillies , celery , relish and onions are some of the ingredients are added usually to this pre - cooked canned tuna.
You can serve this salad on toasted bread or canapes or just serve with a simple Dal and Rice.
Today since I prepared brown lentils and RIce ,decided to go with a Tuna Salad. Here for this salad I haven't used any mayonnaise. In fact since I could see a lot of these small green mangoes in the market , decided to add the green mango to my salad and leaving out the mayonnaise.
Since I bought the chilli tuna , added just one green chilli , with the plain tin tuna you can increase the amount of chillies and pepper powder to the salad. I have also used the Indian salad leaves , you can also go for iceberg lettuce or a mix of both.
Ingredients
185 gms Tin Chilli Tuna 2 medium size onion finely chopped 5 Lettuce leaves chopped 1 green chilli finely chopped ( If using plain tin Tuna use 2 to 3 chillies or according to taste) 1/4 cup finely chopped green mango Salt to taste 1/4 tsp coarsely ground pepper 1 tomato finely chopped
Method Mix all the above well together. Serve best with a simple dal and rice
