Mutton Moilee

A wonderful mutton gravy with East Indian bottle masala and other spices





Ingredients


4 green chillies


8 cloves garlic


1 and 1/2 inch ginger


6 medium size onions finely chopped or 4 big size onions



3 potatoes Chopped with its skin


1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves


Salt to taste


500 gms mutton



Spice powder


1 tbsp East Indian bottle masala or Malwani masala


1/2 tsp garam masala powder


1/4 tsp turmeric powder



Method ( Mutton)


Add salt , turmeric powder and 2 tsp vinegar. Keep aside for half an hour. Wash off well and pat dry.



Method


Add clarified butter ( ghee). Once hot add the finely chopped green chillies, ginger , garlic and saute lightly. Add the finely chopped onions and saute till translucent. Add in the mutton pieces and saute for a minute. Add in the finely chopped coriander leaves, East Indian bottle masala, garam masala powder and turmeric powder, mix well. Add just enough water and salt to taste. Pressure cook on high, after the 1st whistle pressure cook on low for 10 mins. Add the chopped potatoes and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.


Serve with chapatis or rice bhakris/ aapas
