I love Kasuri Methi , also known as dried fenugreek leaves. Kasuri Methi has a wonderful flavour. So here is a Pulao recipe with kasuri Methi . The kasuri Methi and the green paste gives a fantastic flavour to the rice. Goes really well with some raita .
ingredients 1 2 1/2 cups basmati rice ingredients 2 grind to paste the below ingredients with 1/4 cup water 40 gms Corriander leaves 1 or 2 green chillies 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Ingredients 3 2 tbsp kasuri methi 1 tbsp garam masala powder 2 tomatoes sliced 2 onions sliced hot water 1 soup cube and salt if required
METHOD Add some amount of oil. Stir fry the onions till brown Add the tomatoes and cook till soft and done . Add now the ground green paste (ingredients 2) and 1/4 cup water. Stir fry for 1/2 a minute.Add the garam masala powder, kasuri methi and soup cube. Stir fry, add the soaked and drained basmati rice and stir fry for 1/2 a minute. Now add hot water just 1/2 inch above rice. let it come to a boil .Lower the flame .Allow to cook till done.
