Christmas cake preparation

It's time to start preparing for the magic of christmas ! with just two months to go ,now is the perfect moment to soak those dry fruits in rum , whisky or brandy. So, gather your jars ,choose your favourite spirits and let the soaking begin .


Fruit Soaking (2 Months Prior)

Ingredients:

60 grams of tutti frutti (½ cup)

60 grams of raisins (½ cup)

60 grams of candied peels (½ cup)

60 grams of cherries (½ cup)

60 grams of currants (½ cup)

Note: ½ cup is measured using a 100 ml cup.



Method:

1. In a large bowl, combine the tutti frutti, raisins, candied peels, and cherries.

2. Pour 2 cups of rum (using a 200 ml cup) over the mixed fruits and stir well.

3. In a separate bowl, soak the currants in ½ cup of rum.

4. Seal the bottle tightly with its lid and store it in the refrigerator.
