Chinese Five Spice Pork Roast With Stuffed Capsicum


Five Spice powder

Ingredients for five spice powder

Five spice powder

(2tbsp fennel seeds,1 tbsp schezwan pepper ,1tbsp pepper corns,2 star anise1 stick (2 inch) cinnamon

Roast and powder the ingredients

1 teaspoon brown sugar

2 teaspoon soya sauce

1/2 cup brandy

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste

2 stalks celery finely chopped

2 tbsp ketchup

Mix everything together well.

Boneless pork shoulder piece. 1 kilo

Add salt turmeric and vinegar to the pork and keep aside for 15 mins

Then wash off and pat dry. Poke the pork pieces with a fork .


Marinate the pork in the above spice mixture .

Place in a baking dish . Adding all the marinated mixture too. Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for at least 1 1/2 - 2 hrs or till done.

Then slice and serve.


5 capsicums .

Chop the stem side well to keep as a lid

Remove all seeds well from the capsicum.

Brush the inside and outside with oil.

For the stuffing

1 1/2cup half done basmati rice

1 cup corn kernels

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp dried basil

2 to 3 tbsp soft butter

1/2tsp pepper corns

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp worchestire sauce

Salt to taste

Mix all of this to together with 1/4cup diced cheddar and mozzarella cheese mix

Fill this mixture into each capsicum .

Top it with some more cheese and place the capsicum lid (stem part) on the capsicum

Brush a tray with oil .place these stuffed capsicum in the tray cover with foil and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 1 hour till done.
