Baked Cheese Cake


Baked Cheese Cake consist of eggs unlike the no bake cheese cake. Baked Cheese Cake is moist fluffy and velvety

This baked Cheese Cake is baked using the water bath method which is simple and easy to follow.

This water bath method gives the Cheese Cake a smooth texture on the top.


Ingredients

400 gms cream cheese

200 ml amul Fresh cream

100 gms caster sugar or can also use Powdered sugar

1 and 1/4 tbsp maida/ plain flour

1 egg yolk

2 whole eggs

140 gms Nice Time Britannia biscuit

(Sugar showered coconut biscuit)

 or digestive biscuit

50 gms butter

1 tsp finely grated zest of an orange

1/2 tsp vanilla essence


REQUIRED

A springform tin 8 inch in diameter

Foil

Baking dish

Hot water

Parchment paper


METHOD

Line the bottom and sides of the springform tin with parchment paper.

Finely crush the biscuits using a dry blender .


Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave. Remove and Stir in the biscuit crumbs.

Press this biscuit mixture tightly into the base of a round springform cake tin.

Place this into the refrigerator.


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius

Using an electric hand whisk beat the cream cheese until creamy ,then gradually add the caster sugar and whisk.


Add the flour and beat until smooth.

Then add the vanilla essence, egg yolk whisk again.

Gradually add the whole eggs one at a time and whisk.

Now using a hand whisk add the cream and whisk well till smooth. Lastly add the finely grated orange zest and give a good whisk using a hand whisk.

Remove from the refrigerator the springform cake tin .

Cover the base of the springform cake tin with foil and place the cake tin into the baking dish.


Pour in this cake batter into the springform cake tin, Smooth the top.

Add some hot water into the baking dish carefully, about a 1/2 mark to the springform cake tin.

Place this carefully into the oven and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 60 mins.

Once it's done ,leave to cool for at least 2 hours and then refrigerate overnight before serving.

Next morning slide a knife around the edges of the cake ,then unclip and remove from the tin to serve.


You can serve it with any fruit filling on the top or

I just took some strawberry jam , heated it up in the microwave then added very little hot water to make it easy to spread
