Beef Steak

Beef steak chili fry served in a bun.


1 kilo Beef steak

Marinate the beef with

 1 tsp mustard sauce

2 tsp Worcester sauce

2 tsp five spice powder

2 tsp tomato sauce

1 tsp brown sugar

2 tsp ginger garlic paste

1/4 cup Red wine

Marinate overnight

Next day bring to room temperature


With a help of a mallet flatten each steak. Then shallow fry on medium flame . Once cooled cut the steaks into thin strips and keep aside.

For the sauce

1tbsp five spice powder

2 tbsp mustard sauce

1 tbsp tomato ketchup

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup red wine

1tbsp butter

1tbsp corn flour


Heat a pan with a mix of butter and oil . Add the above ingredients for the sauce along with the 1/2 cup water mentioned. Make a slurry with Little warm water and corn flour. Cook this sauce for 2 mins on medium flame , occasionally stirring.

Ingredients for the stir fry

3 big onions sliced

2 tomatoes sliced

1 and 1/2 tsp pepper powder

6 spicy green chillies chopped

1and 1/2 inch ginger finely chopped

8 cloves garlic finely chopped

1green Bell pepper

1 yellow Bell pepper

1 red bell pepper

200ml warm water


Heat up some oil stir fry the finely chopped ginger garlic and green chillies. Then add the sliced onions and stir fry till translucent. Add next the sliced tomatoes stir fry. Add now the beef strips ,the cooked sauce and the 200 ml warm water. Cook on medium flame for 10 mins occasionally stir frying.

Lastly add the thinly sliced bell peppers and cook for another 5 mins.

Serve as starters or with Burger buns or bread rolls

For cabbage coleslaw

red cabbage thinly sliced

Mayonnaise crushed pepper corn

For five spice powder


Ingredients for five spice powder

(2tbsp fennel seeds,1 tbsp schezwan pepper ,1tbsp pepper corns,2 star anise1 stick (2 inch) cinnamon

Roast and powder the ingredients
