This is a spiced semolina mix , a savoury breakfast.
Ingredients
100 gms rawa / semolina lightly roasted and kept aside
2 finely chopped onions
2 finely chopped small tomatoes
2 to 3 green chillies finely chopped
Few curry leaves
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 cup coriander leaves finely chopped
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
Few cashew nuts
stir fry cashew nuts in very little oil and keep aside.
Method
Heat up 2 tbsp ghee. Add in mustard seeds, once it starts to splutter add in the curry leaves and then add the finely chopped onions. Stir fry the onions till translucent. Add now the finely chopped tomatoes and green chillies and stir fry till soft. Add in the ginger garlic paste, coriander powder , turmeric powder and salt to taste. Nix well. Then add the rawa and stir fry for 1/2 a minute. Lastly add the hot water about 1/2 inch above . Let it come to boil. Then lower gas and cover with lid and allow to cook till all water is absorbed. Sprinkle in finely chopped coriander leaves and few cashew nuts.
