Pork Curry with Dried Herbs

I had to make something different , than the regular type of Pork curry that we are used to . So here is a recipe of a Pork Curry with dried herbs . Dried herbs like oregano, Rosemary and thyme are used along with the regular spices to make this masala paste. Something different and refreshing .

Here too , I have used boneless pork and cooked in a pressure cooker , a simple and quick recipe worth trying out.






Ingredients

700 gms Pork with minimal fat, (Boneless)

Add turmeric powder, salt, and vinegar and keep for 20 mins. Then was and pat dry


For the Masala

4 or 5 Red kashmiri chillies

1tsp cumin

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp pepper corn

1tsp oregano

1 tsp thyme

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

1onion sliced


Add 1/2'cup of hot water to the above mentioned spices and vinegar , keeping aside Ginger garlic paste, and sliced onions

keep for 15 mins then grind to a paste along with ginger garlic paste and onions


Ingredients 2

3onions finely chopped

3 tomatoes finely chopped

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 potatoes chopped


grind to a powder the below mentioned herbs

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp Rosemary


Method

In a pressure cooker heat up some oil, stir fry the onions till lightly browned, add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook till soft on medium flame.

Add the ground masala and cook for 2 mis.

Add the pork mix well.

Dont add too much water , only if required.

Pressure cook on high for 1 whistle, then low for 5 to 10 mis

Add 2 chopped potatoes and pressure cook on high for 1 whistle.

Lastly add the ground mixed spices, and the Worcestershire sauce . salt to taste.

cook for 5 mins
