Pita Bread

THIS IS A 3 IN ONE RECIPE. MAKE PITA BREAD/LOAF BREAD/PIZZA DOUGH RECIPE IS THE SAME. PIZZA DOUGH AND LOAF BREAD POSTED EARLIER


600 gms plain flour/maida /self raising flour 400 ml water +50 ml water(water should b Lukewarm) 15 gms fresh yeast 2 tbsp sugar Salt to taste 2 tbsp oil


Method

Take the yeast and sugar and mix till pasty. Add the 400ml Lukewarm water to the yeast mixture and stir gently. (2 to 3stirs).keep covered for 15 to 20 mins

Mix the flour with the salt well in a deep bowl dish. Make a well in the center. Add into the well oil and yeast mixture.

Mix all this together with a fork or spatula till it all comes together. Add the extra 50 ml water gradually as required, stop till it forms a wet sticky dough.

Dust the flat surface where u will knead. Place the dough on the surface and bring together kneading gently ,dusting with little flour on off. Making into a soft mist dough. Brush a deep bowl with oil .place the dough in it and brush the dough with oil. Keep covered with warm.Damp muslin cloth over the dough. Keep for 2 hrs to rise

After 2 hrs . Punch the dough gently. And bring it all together on the dusted flour surface . Cut through the dough into desired balls . Roll balls smooth. keep again to rise for 2hrs.


For pita bread Roll the ball into flat round shape but 1/4inch thick. Place it on a hot pan. Roast lightly on each side. Then turn on a flame (small burner flame , not to high flame). Place the flat slightly roasted dough on the flame allow to puff up both sides.
