Masala Stuffed Squids And Battered Fried Squids

Masala Stuffed Squids And Batter Fried Squids Use 4 squids for stuffing and 8 Squids for batter fry



Masala Stuffed Squids Ingredients Moilee Masala 6 finely chopped onions 4 to 5 finely chopped green chilies 2 inch ginger finely chopped 8 cloves garlic finely chopped 1tbsp coconut Toddy vinegar or according to taste 1 tbsp tomato ketchup 1/4 tsp garam masala powder salt to taste

1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp East Indian bottle masala or according to taste

4 small size squids cleaned well. washed well. finely chop the tentacles of 12 small size squids 4 toothpicks


Method Add some oil ,when hot. add finely chopped green chilies, garlic and ginger . Stir fry lightly. Then add the finely chopped onions and stir fry till translucent. Add the bottle masala , mix well. Add 1/4 cup water , Tomato ketchup and garam masala powder. Allow to cook After a minute add the finely chopped tenticles. mix well. After a minute add finely chopped coriander leaves and toddy vinegar .Allow to cool.

Once cooled stuff this masala into the squid. seal with a toothpick.

Method 2 Add Little oil. sear the stuffed squids. Remove keep aside. Add the remaining masala . Place the stuffed squids over the masala. Add 1/4 cup water. Cook for 2 mins.


Batter Fried Squids

8 small squids cut into half cm rings 1/4 cup Maida 1/4 cup Rice Flour 1/2 tsp or 1 tsp Chili Powder 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp Baking Powder 1tsp Salt 1 egg well beaten Oil for deep frying


Method Mix all the above ingredients and add some water to make a thick batter then add the squid rings to this batter. once the oil is hot pick up each individual squid ring by the end of the fork from the batter and drop into hot oil on the pan. Put only about 8 to 10 rings into the pan as the squid cooks very quickly it will be ready in about 1 minute. once rings turn golden brown remove from oil. continue the same process with the remaining squid rings fry on medium heat.
