Green Masala Bombay Duck Curry & Fried Bombay Ducks

Curry Ingredients 1

100 gms coriander leaves

3 to 4 green chilies

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Grind these above ingredients to a paste

Curry Ingredients 2

1 tbsp coriander seeds

½ tsp cumin seeds

½ tsp pepper corns

¼ tsp turmeric powder

½ cup desiccated coconut

Dry roast these ingredients.

1 sliced onions Fry the sliced onions

Grind all dry ingredients and the fried onions with little bit of water and a small ball of tamarind.

1 Big onion sliced.

4 Bombay ducks for curry

Heat some oil. Add the sliced onions and bagar till brown. Add the green masala paste (ingredient 1) and stir fry. Allow cook for a minute. Then add the second ground masala (ingredient 2) and some amount of water, and salt according to taste.

Allow it to come to a boil. Add 4 fried Bombay ducks to the curry. For 2 minutes switch gas off.

for the Fried Bombay ducks


To the Vindaloo spice powder add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and 2 tbsp coconut toddy vinegar and salt according to taste

Mix well and coat the Bombay ducks


Add 2 tbsp chili powder

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

2 tbsp coconut Toddy vinegar or any vinegar

Salt to taste

Mix all the above ingredients well. Coat the Bombay ducks with this masala


10 Bombay ducks

Marinade the Bombay ducks in prepared Vindaloo masala and coat in rice flour and RAWA mixture. Shallow fry. Keep 4 fried Bombay ducks for the curry above.
