Fried King fish with Molie masala This Moile is a family Recipe, the traditional moile doesn't have tomatoes , here tomatoes is added to give some volume to the gravy. The masala is placed down , topped with the fried fish and then another layer of the masala on the fried fish.
Ingredients 8 King fish pieces cleaned and washed well
Marinate the slices with 2 tbsp of East Indian bottle masala 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp vinegar or a tsp of lemon juice salt to taste little water to make a paste coat the fish with this paste and shallow fry.
Ingredients For the moile masala 8 onions finely chopped 4 tomatoes of big size finely chopped 4 to 5 green chilies finely chopped 1 tbsp East Indian bottle masala or according to taste 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste salt to taste 1/4 cup coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tsp lemon juice 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Method
Add oil and stir fry the finely chopped onion till translucent. Add the finely chopped tomatoes and green chilies , adding very little water.
Cook till tomatoes turn soft . Add salt to taste, ginger garlic paste ,bottle masala , garam masala powder and turmeric powder.
Stir fry this masala.
Lastly add vinegar and finely chopped coriander leaves.
Serve this with the fish.
Goes well with a simple dal and Rice.
