These fried chicken wings are marinated in a rich blend of mulberry molasses, aromatic spices, and a touch of Jack Daniel’s for a subtle smoky depth. Shallow fried to perfection, they develop a beautifully caramelised outer layer while remaining juicy and tender inside.
Ingredients:
700 grams chicken wings
Cleaned washed well
For the Marinade:
2 tsp mulberry molasses
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp soya sauce
2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp pepper powder
3 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp rock salt / Salt
1 tbsp Jack Daniel’s (optional but adds depth)
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp white vinegar
Method:
In a bowl, combine all the marinade ingredients and mix well.
Add the chicken wings and coat them thoroughly with the marinade.
Cover and let it rest for at least 1 hour (longer for deeper flavour).
Heat a pan with a little oil and shallow fry the wings on medium heat.
Turn occasionally and cook until the wings are nicely browned, caramelised, and cooked through.
Serve hot and enjoy the smoky, tangy, slightly sweet flavour!
