Mackerel In Chilli Garlic Masala

8 to 10 small size mackerel cleaned and washed well. made slits on both sides of the fish like pockets.

for the masala

20 Kashmiri chilies

15 cloves of garlic big size

1/3 cup apple cider vinegar or Goan vinegar

salt to taste.

grind all the above with the vinegar to a smooth paste.

1 tbsp ketchup and salt to taste.


Cook the masala in a bit of oil. Add 1 tbsp ketchup , add salt if required and cook for another minute.

Allow to cool .

Stuff this masala into the mackerels

Dust with rice flour and shallow fry.
