Fried Pomfrets

GREEN MASALA FRIED POMFRETS


INGREDIENTS


100 gms coriander leaves

20 gms mint leaves

1 or 2 green chillies

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste


Grind to paste the above ingredients


SPICE POWDER

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp pepper powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder


INGREDIENTS 2


2 Onions finely chopped

2 tomatoes finely chopped

4 medium size pomfrets

1 tsp vinegar


METHOD


Add oil to the pan . Stir fry finely chopped onions till translucent. Mix in the finely chopped tomatoes and stir fry till soft.

Add the spice powders of cumin , pepper,turmeric and garam masala powder.

Stir fry well. Then add the ground green paste. Salt to taste and vinegar. Allow cook for 2 mins on low flame.


Allow to cool.


Clean and wash pomfrets well. Pat dry.

Make slits both sides of the pomfrets.

Fill the pomfrets with the prepared masala.

Dust with rice flour.

Shallow fry till done.
