On a hot summer day, nothing feels more refreshing and perfect to cool down than a chilled glass of fresh lime soda.
Ingredients
50 ml lime juice (approximately 4 small limes)
1/3 cup sugar or as per taste
Fresh mint leaves, roughly torn
Generous amount of ice
750 ml soda
1 1/2 cups chilled water
Coarsely ground pepper as per taste
A touch of salt
Method
To a bowl, add the lime juice and sugar. Give it a good stir, then add 1/2 cup chilled water and mix until the sugar dissolves completely.
Add another 1/2 cup chilled water along with the roughly torn mint leaves. Season with salt and coarsely ground pepper as per taste. Pour in the remaining 1/2 cup chilled water and mix well.
Finally, add the chilled soda and give it a gentle stir. Toss in a generous amount of ice.
