Chicken And Dill Leaves with East Indian Bottle Masala. A delicious chicken curry prepared with spices , dill leaves and east Indian bottle masala powder. If bottle masala is not available, can replace with any chicken masala powder or malwani masala powder.
Ingredients
500 gms chicken
For the marination
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
Method
Add the turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and salt to the chicken pieces and keep aside.
For the ground masala
Dry spices Ingredients 1
1 tsp pepper corn
1/4 to poppy seeds
1/4 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
Dry roast these spices along with 8 cashew nuts.
Dry grind and keep aside.
Ingredients 2
2 sliced onions
3 green chillies
Saute the sliced onions till translucent along with the green chillies.
Add 2 tsp ginger garlic paste and grind together ingredients 1 and ingredients 2 along with some amount of water to assist grinding.
For the curry
Ingredients
2 sliced tomatoes
2 medium potatoes chopped into cubes
20 gms dill leaves finely chopped
1 and 1/2 tsp East Indian Bottle Masala powder
Salt to taste
2 cups water
2 tbsp clarified butter/ ghee
Method
Add 2 tbsp ghee , once hot add the sliced tomatoes and saute for half a minute. Add the potatoes, stir fry. Next the chicken pieces and stir fry. Allow to cook covered for a minute. Add the ground masala,1 cup water and allow to cook for a minute. Add next East Indian Bottle Masala powder, 1 cup water and salt to taste. Allow to cook till almost done. Add the dill leaves and cook till completely done.
